Ros Wood, a Koorawatha resident, has been a steadfast member of the branch and was presented with her 20-year badge on October 21 at the group's AGM.
While Isobel Bensley OAM was presented with her 70-year badge and a special afternoon tea at Weeroona Aged Care Residence.
President of the Cowra CWA branch Norma Power said it was fantastic to recognise both members, especially the significant amount of time Isobel had contributed to the group.
"I've been a member of our branch since 1994 and I've known Isobel for all that time," she said.
"She's been a member for 70 years, so they [the state office] sent up a certificate of appreciation.
"I've had this in my possession for about six months and of course COVID hit and we couldn't do anything.
"So I started to panic, because I needed to give it to Isobel so she knows she is appreciated."
Presenting Isobel with her certificate was friend and ?? Ruth Shanks AM, with Mrs Power saying it had been "fortuitous" that Ms Shanks had been on hand to present Isobel with her certificate.
For her part Ms Shanks said it was pleasing to help celebrate such a milestone.
"It was lovely when I had the phone call asking me if would like to do this," she said.
"I've known Isobel for quite a while being in Gilgandra and we were in Guides a long time before that as well as CWA.
"I didn't know she had this 70 year certificate which is lovely."
Isobel's daughter Kaye Kilby said the certificate was a great recognition of her mother's involvement in the organisation.
"She has given a lot of her time and energy to CWA over a long time," she said.
"And she knows a lot about the procedure which she is stickler for.
"She was a member in Gilgandra, having moved there in 1950.
"We would go to CWA when we were preschoolers and they had meetings in the day time."
Ms Power said the branch was now looking forward to getting out in the community again.
"We are trying to get more members, getting some younger members," she said.
"Many women say 'we've got kids' but that's what CWA started off as, as Kaye said they used to go after school and they'd be there all day.
"Kids are quite welcome."
