The Western NSW Local Health District has recorded its lowest number of cases of COVID-19 in over two months, with just two new cases of community transmission picked up to 8pm on Sunday.
None of those cases are in Orange, Cabonne or Blayney Local Government Areas - the new cases are Walgett and Dubbo, the latter's new case ending a run of two days of zero cases for the Dubbo LGA, an area that has felt the brunt of this Delta outbreak.
The last time the Western NSW LHD recorded two new cases of COVID-19 was on August 11 - the first day of this outbreak in the Central West.
NSW Health says there's currently 18 cases of COVID-19 being treated in the Orange LGA. There's one in Cabonne and two in Blayney.
Across NSW, five people have died as overall COVID figures in NSW continued to drop in Monday's update.
More than 92 per cent of adults in NSW have received a first dose of COVID-19, NSW Health confirmed on Monday.
There were 266 fresh infections detected in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday, including one overseas arrival.
That's down from 301 COVID cases the day before, and as the state begins to enjoy new freedoms which, as of Monday, included no longer having to wear face masks in the office for those who are fully vaccinated.
Hospital numbers have passed 600, with 606 patients requiring treatment within the system. Of those, 132 are in intensive care across NSW.
Across the state, 80.3 per cent of the population aged 16 or older has received two doses of a vaccine.
