A statement made by the NSW Department of Education on Mulyan Public's Facebook page on Sunday afternoon said the school was following the advice of NSW Health.
"Our school will be non-operational effective immediately for the on-site attendance of staff and students to allow time for contact tracing and cleaning," the post said.
"All staff and students are asked to self-isolate until you receive further advice.
"The NSW Department of Education will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff is maintained.
"The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students is of paramount importance to us at all times.
"As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to."

Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke, praised the efforts of Mulyan Public School principal, Cathy Briggs.
"Supported by the Department of Education, Principal Briggs is working closely with NSW Health during this time to ensure that the health and safety of all students and staff is maintained," Ms Cooke said.
"I recognise this will be disruptive and inconvenient for families but it is important that the advice of NSW Health is followed and all necessary precautions are taken to minimise the risk of further transmission to support our community."
Ms Cooke urged the community to get tested.
"I am waiting for Western NSW LHD to confirm COVID testing plans for the next day or two," she said.
"People also have the option of getting tested through the Cowra Medical Centre who have been amazing with COVID testing throughout the pandemic.
"Finally, as always, we wish people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, a full and speedy recovery.
"Having spoken with many patients, families and close contacts of positive cases, it's a very difficult, uncertain and stressful time.
"Behind every number is a person who we all want to get back to full health as quickly as possible."
