A lamb drive will be conducted next Wednesday, October 13 in order to raise funds for Makenzie Hazelton, a young Koorawatha girl who has faced a lengthy battle with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma.
The Mulyan Public School student faced 10 months of aggressive treatment at Westmead Children's Hospital between 2019 and 2020, and was soon able to come back to Cowra.
However she relapsed in May of this year after it was discovered the cancer had to spread to her brain and now Makenzie is preparing for a bone marrow transplant.
Rory Brien from Allan Grey and Co urged the community to give where they can.
"We're pleading with farmers in the area to donate a lamb or sheep or any animal that is salable, all the proceeds to Makenzie and her family that are down in Sydney," he said.
"We just want to get as much action as we can on it, it's something I believe is a really good cause for a struggling family.
"I couldn't imagine it being my own family."
The Cowra Saleyards are set to light up for Makenize, with donated lambs having their ears painted.
Mr Brien said residents or businesses who don't own stock can still get in on the action by purchasing a 'virtual lamb' for $200.
"It's been a real success, our businesses in Cowra have all jumped on board so far," he said.
"We've had companies who have donated four or five lambs already.
"Anyone that's keen to get involved, they can."

Alternatively, a separate Go Fund Me drive for Makenzie is available for those looking to make a donation.
More than $15,000 has been raised to help the family, who have had to relocate to Ronald McDonald House at Westmead.
