The team will be attempting to clear a combination of 700kms for the One Foot Forward challenge, alongside a community of incredible people walking in solidarity for Australians living with mental illness.
Mental illness is very common.
One in five (20 per cent) Australians aged 16-85 experience a mental illness in any year.
Of the 20 per cent of Australians with a mental illness, 11.5 per cent have one disorder (either depressive, anxiety or substance use) and 8.5 per cent have two or more disorders.
Almost half (45 per cent) of Australians will experience a mental illness in their lifetime, and 60 per cent of Australians reporting symptoms of mental illness won't seek help.
Principal Lyn Sharkey said taking on the One Foot Forward challenge will help drive real change.
"As a team, we are committed to help raise funds for ground-breaking research into the early detection, prevention and treatment of common mental health disorders," she said.
Cowra Real Estate are seeking assistance from the local community to help create a mentally healthy world.
During these uncertain times, your gift can put evidence-based mental health tools that work in the hands of people who need a little extra support - whenever and wherever they need it.
