Western NSW Local Health District Chief Executive Scott McLachlan on Thursday confirmed the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines would now be available to everyone aged 12 years and older.
Those aged 60 and over had previously only been able to access the AstraZeneca vaccine.
You can go online to the Federal Government's COVID vaccine clinic finder to make an appointment with your GP, medical centre or a local pharmacy.
If you have already had a dose of COVID-19 vaccine, you need to get a second dose of that same vaccine.
Everyone is being reminded to ensure they have booked that opportunity - three weeks after the first dose for the Pfizer vaccine or anywhere from four to six weeks and up to 12 for AstraZeneca.
From October 11 it's expected 70 per cent of the NSW population will be double vaccinated and the NSW Government says restrictions ease only for those who have had both doses of a vaccine.
Western NSW Local Health District Chief Executive Scott McLachlan says it's an important time particularly to make sure our older people who are most vulnerable to COVID-19 are vaccinated.
While about 70 per cent of over-70s in the Western LHD are fully vaccinated, he'd like to see that above 95 per cent.
"In the coming week it's going to be absolutely crucial for us to help our older generation to get vaccinated," he said.
"We know that people over the age of 70 are particularly vulnerable to COVID.
"We know that we still don't have the higher rates of vaccination to protect all of our people who are most dear to us in our communities.
"Can I ask everyone to think over this weekend about your aunties, uncles, mums, dads, grandpa or grandma that need vaccinating."
