"It is no secret our local businesses are facing many challenges and operating business as normal changes daily under this pandemic," Ms D'Elboux said.
One way to assist local businesses is through a call to action.
From November 1 to December 24, Cowra Shire residents are being asked to shop local this Christmas. The eight week campaign will showcase a minimum of 50 shop local deals ready for purchase.
In the spirit of the festive season, the Fa La La LOCAL campaign is now asking Cowra Shire businesses to come forward and register their interest. Register by completing "contact us" at www.sharondelboux.com.au or reach out on FB https://www.facebook.com/votesharondelboux
Registrations are now open and will be until September 30.
"I am inviting any business in the Cowra LGA to participate. You may be a home based business or have a shop front. You may be a member of the Cowra Business Chamber and or located in one of our beautiful villages. Please come forward and be part of the Fa La La LOCAL Christmas campaign," Sharon D'Elboux said.
Once registered, businesses will have 12 days to finalise their product or service offer. In October, the campaign branding will be established, plus the logistics to deliver a successful campaign.
"I will be reaching out to the highly successful Cowra Business Chamber to partner in this shop local initiative" Ms D'Elboux said.
Fa La La LOCAL campaign will be launched on November 1
All residents will be urged to shop and gift at least one local Cowra offer this Christmas.
"It is well researched that for every $1 spent locally, that $1 goes around 4 times in the local community" Ms D'Elboux said.
