The player held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1429.

The multi-million-dollar winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means officials have no way of contacting the winner.

The entry was purchased at Golden Square Newsagency, 303 High Street, Golden Square.

Golden Square Newsagency owner Bill Roberts was delighted to hear one of his customers had found their own treasure in Bendigo.

"It's so awesome...the town is known for gold, and we're called the Golden Square Newsagency, so I feel like we are rolling in gold," he said.

"Exciting is an understatement.

"I couldn't sleep a wink last night after I found out! It's almost like I won myself."

Mr Roberts said the newsagency has had about 30 division one winning entries sold at the store previously.

"We hope our winner discovers this exciting news soon, and we really hope it makes a positive difference to their life, especially considering the tough times we've all experienced recently," he said.

Lotto spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was eager to unite the region's newest multi-millionaire with their golden ticket.

"It's likely this winner has been going about their day as normal with no idea they've just won $20 million!" she said.

"We're urging all players who purchased an Oz Lotto ticket from Golden Square Newsagency to check their tickets today."

Ms Ramsamy said if you discover the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1429 on Wednesday 7 July 2021 were 42, 32, 21, 19, 44, 25 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 18.
