Cold weather no deterrent for Gooloogong Recreation Park markets

There will be plenty on for young and the young at heart at the markets this weekend.
There will be plenty on for young and the young at heart at the markets this weekend.

Pull out your jackets, scarves and beanies and come along to the Gooloogong Recreation Park Queens Birthday Weekend markets on Sunday, June 13 from 9am to 1pm.

The weather is forecasted to be fine but cool and no rain has been tagged for Sunday.

The markets are again shaping up to be a great day out for everyone with more than 50 stalls booked to attend.

It is our policy not to have too many of the one type of stall, which means that there will be a huge range of products for sale.

Our stallholder with recycled garden features will be returning with his fabulous metal and timber garden art, there will be a 'Pop Up' Hair Salon, blacksmith demonstrations, cheese cooking demonstrations, music from our local young lads, whip cracking and much more.

The other stalls will include a wide range of quality products such as wine tasting, gourmet breads and pastries, cheese, olives, hot chocolate bombs, fresh vegetables, plants, craft, clothing, cooking, candles, soaps, jewellery, art, dream catchers, woodwork, leather work, sewing, jams, plants, bric-a-brac and much more.

We are sure you will find something that will take your eye while the young children have the opportunity to get active on the park play equipment and Dad to show off his talents on the exercise equipment located in the market area.

After spending time at the markets, why not wander to the Gooloogong Hotel or the Gooloogong Country Club and have a drink or just check out our informative walk to the Lachlan River.

Once the markets have finished, the local hotel will hold its Open Mike Session showcasing talent from all over the district.

So stay for a while and join the toe-tapping audience.
