It's not always easy to admit that you might need help, and can often be even harder finding it.

If you have a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan and are looking for a local service to assist you to meet your goals, then you need look no further.

Enablement is a new business to town and can help people across the region with in-home supports, social and community access, skill development and recreational activities, seven days a week.

Established by Diane Graham, who has 12 years' experience coordinating disability services in the Cowra community, Enablement will work with clients, families, and carers to achieve goal focused outcomes. Diane is passionate, motivated, and committed to providing a quality service that promotes clients' individual choice.

It may be a case of you requiring assistance with personal care, meal preparation or cooking, or perhaps you require support and assistance to develop skills to maintain your home and independence, go on a holiday or simply visit family.

Other supports available may include accessing the community for shopping, attending appointments, paying bills, engaging in community programs of interest, or accessing recreational activities, either in town or in other towns across the region.

Enablement can help deliver these supports one on one, or in a group, and they have a person-centred approach that can be adapted and can deliver supports flexibly where required.

Diane said that having the ability to choose and have control over your supports, enables you to use multiple service providers if preferred. "These plans are individual and allow for greater flexibility,'' she said.

"I am excited to be able to offer clients a service that supports individual choice, is flexible to the needs of the participant, offers new and innovative programs, and works closely with families and carers."

Anyone requiring further information for themselves or for a family member, or if they would like to make an appointment to discuss their needs, can contact Diane via phone on 0421 766 172 or email diane@enablementservices.com.au.
