On Saturday, April 3, Cowra Gun Club held their monthly competition in perfect conditions with 46 shooters in attendance.

The program included the Central Tablelands Double Barrel Championship as well as the Jackpot Trophy Handicap event.

The Double Barrel Championship was finally taken out by Young local Nathan Burt, after a lengthy shoot off with Grady Evans from Bathurst finishing with the outstanding score of 256/256.

Well done Nathan after somewhat of an endurance test of skill and concentration.

The Jackpot Trophy Handicap was won by Grady Evans from Bathurst with a score of 32/32 after a shoot-off with four other competitors.

Grady also took out the High Gun for the day with a perfect score of 100/100.

This trophy is awarded to the shooter with the highest score over the program.

The next monthly competition will take place on Saturday, May 1 commencing at 10am.

This program will feature three events in recognition of past long-serving members of the club - the Noel Dwight Memorial Pointscore Championship, the Dick Toshack Memorial Champion of Champions and the Mick Sinclair Memorial Handicap.
