Arthritis Group representative Carol told us that the Cowra Support Group meets monthly to gain knowledge and understanding about managing their arthritis.

They offer each other support and encouragement. They build friendships. They laugh a lot.

Arthritis is a name for a group of conditions affecting the joints.

These conditions cause damage to the joints, usually resulting in pain and stiffness.

Carol told us that regular physical activity to keep the joints moving and muscles strong is recommended.

Vice President Christine Parker thanked Carol for her informative talk and presented her with a gift.

This was a souvenir to promote the Inner Wheel Australia National Project of funding Cord Blood research to give a second chance in life.

A friendship luncheon is planned for April 19 at the home of Anne Holloway.

Originally planned for April 2020, this is now COVID-safely able to proceed.

Cowra is so very privileged to have the Cowra Medical Centre, an approved vaccination provider.

Their practice manager said the 'practice is happy to help provide Covid-19 immunisation for the local area and wider community'.

We are proud to live in the Cowra community.

The council's vision defines Cowra as a 'leading, innovative and creative community, proud of our place in history, offering opportunity with the best of country living'.
