Sired by Northern View SMW Gustov 3Z and out of PC Miss E99 Foreman K045, their 18-month-old bull Quick Silver Q036 packaged everything together for judge Steve Carter of Blackjack Shorthorns at Tumut, who believed he would weigh well and have a huge eye muscle area when he was scanned.
Quick Silver Q036 is the half-sibling to the 2020 Canberra Royal supreme interbreed bull, PC Not Negotiable N142.
Pine Creek also exhibited the reserve senior champion bull, Black Diamond PC Quinella who was also by LD Capitalist 316.
Thirty two Angus animals walked in the ring during the Angus judging at Canberra but it was one senior bull that was unstoppable.
Danny and Debbie Hill's exhibit Hillview Quigley Q18 was the rising two-year-old bull that soon created a following, turning heads with his power, performance and overall presence.
Mr Carter said it was a pleasure to sash such a worthy grand champion and supreme exhibit.
"He is an outstanding individual," Mr Carter said. "He has the weight, depth, capacity and style, and moves brilliantly. Everything you ask for, he has it. It is an honour to sash this worthy winner."
Sired by world-renowned LD Capitalist 316 and out of Hillview Jillian J35, Quigley last year won jackpot bull champion and junior champion Angus bull.
Mr Hill said they had since flushed Quigley's mother to Capitalist and they have 10 embryos of the same cross in at Holbrook.
"At this stage my thoughts are I'll keep him," he said.
"I have 180 straws out of him, but haven't used him yet. I've had a couple of offers, but I didn't sell him which I am happy about after winning at Canberra."
illview also exhibited the reserve junior champion bull, Hillview Rhangoon a 13-month-old son of PA Powertool.
Diamond Angus stud at Cowra exhibited the senior and grand champion female, Tattykeel Diamond Essence P39, who had recently also won supreme champion female at Gundagai Show and the reserve champion Angus heifer in the Five Star Creations virtual show in March 2020.
A 29-month-old daughter of Northern View Gustov 3Z out of Canadian female DMM Miss Essence 14Y, she showed with a young calf at foot.
"There was only four cows in the senior Angus female section, but they are four awesome cows," Mr Carter said.
"The champion is a great package with a beautiful udder... And combines a lot of things I look for in a female."
