Ron Newham certainly put in an impressive nine holes.

In ideal weather conditions 41 veteran golfers were at the Cowra Golf Club to compete in a Nine Hole Stableford event, which commenced at the first tee, many of the Veterans went on and completed 18 holes and were included in the Pro Comp event.
Five of the prize winners from the Veterans went on to be prize winners in the 18 Hole Pro Comp.
Ron Newham certainly put in an impressive nine holes with the veterans to produce a score of 21 Stableford points and was the winner on the day, two points clear of a cluster of six veterans all with 19 points.
There were 11 prize winners, who are listed with their Stableford Points score, and the handicap they played off in brackets.

Lachlan Valley Veterans - February 25, 2021
The Lachlan Valley Veterans district competition on February 25, 2021, is being hosted by Forbes Golf Club.
Cowra Veterans who are available to join our representatives at Forbes are asked to liaise with the Veterans committee.
(Our representatives are not disadvantaged in the Cowra Veterans Annual Points Score, when they are at other Clubs, as no points are allocated to Veterans who play at Cowra on these days.)
Club professional; 18 Hole Stableford competition
The Cowra Golf Club's Golf Professional, Tom Perfects's, 18 Hole Stableford Competition, open to all ages and run concurrently with the veterans event, with 34 players competing on their official Golflink handicaps.

1st - James Paton 37 (Points), 2nd - Noel Riley 35, 3rd - Andrew Bucgtmann 34.
