The Cowra Veteran Golfers marked the occasion of their first event for year 2021 on January 7, with a field of 48 starters for the nine hole stableford competition, commencing on the first tee.

There were excellent weather conditions and the golf course in great condition, albeit with the second hole putting green having been damaged by cockatoos making holes in the surface which have had to be filled with soil.
Long term club member Paul Jones registered as a veteran on this day and went out and played some good golf to score 19 points and win the day on a count back from Allan Wilson, also on 19 points.
The participants in this event play off the veteran's modified handicap system.

Lachlan Valley District Competition - January 28
Veterans are advised that the first district competition will be held at Condobolin on January 28, 2021. Cowra Veterans are requested to advise your club captain if you can join a team to represent your club at this event.
Club Professional 18 Hole Stableford Competition
The Cowra Golf Club's professional Tom Perfect's 18 hole stableford competition is open to all ages and run concurrently with the Veteran's event, with all players on their official Golflink handicaps.
There were 50 contestants for this event with two players coming in with the excellent score of 41 stableford points, with the result determined by a countback, favouring Barry Reynolds as the winner ahead of Jamie Judd.
