Now 81-years of age Jeffcoat returned from the Kennerson Park meeting with three winners to his name, Hay Pepper, Lola Pepper and Fergie Pepper.
All three dogs are the result of a mating between Hay Fergus and Moobel Betty.
Jeffcoat took seven dogs from the litter to the meeting, with Sassy Pepper, Betty Pepper, Jody Pepper and Odee Pepper all going to the boxes before he struck with Hay Pepper, Lola Pepper and Fergie Pepper.
Betty Pepper managed a third placing.
In total the Cowra kennel returned home with $4690 in prizemoney.
"I've kept all seven of them. I couldn't sell them because they are all mates," Jeffcoat told Thedogs.com.au after the wins.
"I had a very good litter a long time ago which included Supreme Pepper and Darlin' Pepper, but this litter is just as good," he added.
Jeffcoat had originally planned to sell the litter but his decision to retain it is paying a handsome dividend.
Hay Pepper's win took his career prizemoney to $3730 with two wins from 15 starts.
Lola Pepper's win was win number three from 12 starts for $4,860 in stakes earnings while Fergie Pepper has an even better record with four wins from just 14 starts for $7,480 in prizemoney.
Between them the three Pepper dogs have finished in the minor placings on 12 occasions.
Another winner for Wort
Woodstock trainer Darren Wort made it four winners on the night for the locals with Set to Rule saluting in the Grade 5 Sponsorships Available Stakes.
Wort's night could have been even better, if not for Jeffcoat, with Spike and Rusty Road finishing second and third respectively to Fergie Pepper later on the program.
From box 7 over the 307 metres Set To Rule went to the start as the punters elect at $3.40 and after flying the lids was able to cross to the fence and lead throughout from My Boy Boomer ($19) which jumped from the one box.
Set to Rule's litter mate Set to Reign ($3.70) finished third.
Both dogs are from Wort's Fernando Bale - Set to Shine litter.
