Along with new additions and services at the store, an additional 25 new local team members have been employed.
This includes 14 team members dedicated to the supermarket's new online delivery and pick up service, which will now service 13 surrounding towns of Cowra.
The new look store was officially launched on Saturday morning, with Cowra Mayor, Councillor Bill West cutting the ribbon and Warren Williams delivering an acknowledgement of country.
Woolworths Cowra Store Manager, Roz Petty, said the community is set for an all new shopping experience.
"Locals will visibly notice the transformation, including a brand new seafood department. Our fresh fish is sourced from Australia and New Zealand, including fresh Salmon from Tasmania, fresh Barramundi from the Northern Territory, and King and Banana Prawn varieties sourced in Australia - all perfect for the Christmas table," she said.
"And with more customers choosing to do their shopping online, we're excited to offer our delivery service to 13 new towns. The online option is an easy way for customers to get their groceries and select a delivery time that's convenient for them.
"We're also proud to offer new employment opportunities. Cowra Woolworths has been a part of the community for nearly four decades with several team members who have been with the store since opening in 1983."
Cr West congratulated Roz and the team on the renewal.
"This is a wonderful development for our community, bringing more employment opportunities and services to our shire residents," he said.
"The shop itself looks terrific and is a credit to Roz and the hard working team members of Cowra Woolworths.
"It is also very pleasing to see Woolworths investing $8 million in Cowra; a display of confidence in our town and region."
The renewal of Woolworths Cowra also proudly enlisted the help of eight local businesses to achieve the transformation of the store.
Store highlights include:
Brand new customer experience: The customers will noticeably see brand new floors, walls, fixtures, fittings, and signage throughout the store for an improved shopping experience, with convenience at the heart of the renewal.
