Coming off a general bye, Valleys co-captain Ben Houghton said his side was looking forward to hitting the pitch again.
"It's been a few weeks since we've been out there so it should be good to have a hit again," he said.
"We've just been doing general training, batting, bowling and fielding. We haven't been working on too much in particular, just the basics really."
Houghton said he felt his side was sitting in a good position for their second meeting with Bowling Club.
"Yeah we're not too bad, obviously other than the big loss to Raptors over there, it's still early and there's still plenty of games to go," he said.
"We just need to build from there. You always want to win your home games against the other Cowra team.
"It's never really been one team dominating, it's always up in the air and it's usually a tight contest."
It was a sentiment supported by Bowling Club Captain, chris Day, who said it was sure to be a fun match.
"It should be good, we're pretty good mates with a fair few of the blokes (in Valleys) so I'm sure there will be a bit of banter thrown around," he said.
"But it's all in fun so it should be good to get out there, to get some continuity into the season."
Day said he too felt confident in where his side was sitting for their rematch.
"We had a pretty comprehensive win against the Raptors so we're pretty happy with where we are sitting," he said.
"It'd be nice to get a few more games in but that can't be helped with a five team comp and one washout.
"But that's the fun with cricket, you stop and start a bit, but hopefully we get a bit of a run into Christmas, get something going that we can come back out with in the New Year and hopefully hit the ground running."
While Houghton said his side would be taking things as they came on the weekend, Day said his side was planning for their opponents.
"For them I think Ginger (Jacob McNaught) will be key, he got runs against us last time, Jake Miller scored runs but it was a bit of a lucky innings from what we saw," he said.
"But definitely Ginger is key with the bat, they've obviously picked up quite a good bowling attack now with the additions of Mitch Amos and Harrison Starr.
"But we'll back our batters up against any attack they come up against. It will just be about a them doing their job and our bowlers coming out with the target on Ginger's back.
"He's their number one wicket and he always seems to score runs against us so hopefully get him early and get into the rest of the side."
Both men said they were enthusiastic about there respective club's junior players.
"We've backed a fair few of our kids in and they are coming along, pretty much where we want them to be," Day said.
"Their form is the backbone of our side, so I'm really happy with the talent coming through."
"There is a fair bit of young talent around and they all seem to be performing alright and that's where you want to look to," Houghton said.
"You don't want the blokes like me and Chris that are 30 odd, we're about past it, you want to be looking at the younger ones to score the runs and take the wickets hopefully."
