Action will heat up at Cowra triathlon tonight

The hottest day so far this Spring won't deter Cowra's triathletes from stepping out at the Cowra Aquatic Centre tonight.

With the mercury expected to reach 37 degrees tonight the participants are sure to be looking forward to the shady run course in River Park after completing their swim and bike legs.

Racing kicks off at 6pm with registration at the basketball court next to the aquatic centre.

Club Race Distances will be as follows:

6pm: Kids Course - Little pool swim, 500m bike (off road), 400m run (on River Park run track).

Beginners - 50m swim, 2km bike, 800m run.

One Lap - 100m swim, 4.5km bike, 1km run.

Two Lap - 200m swim, 9km bike, 2km run.

Under the club's Covid Safe plan, as advised by Triathlon NSW the club is asking:

- Please do not attend if feeling unwell, non essential spectators advised not to attend.

- Use the hand sanitisers provided.

- Practice social distancing.
