Registrations open for Cowra Christmas Lights competition

Registrations for the 2020 Cowra Christmas Lights competition are officially open.

The competition is open to all residents of the Cowra Shire including villages and rural properties, with $5,000 in Cowra Cash Cards up for grabs.

The winner of the 'Best Street' will also be awarded a very special street sign commemorating their achievement, granting the opportunity for well deserved bragging rights.

Awards include:

  • Best House - $2,000 Cowra Cash
  • Runner-up - $1,000 Cowra Cash
  • Best Village/Rural Property - $1,500
  • Cowra Cash People's Choice - $500 Cowra Cash
  • Best Street - Commemorative street sign

Judging for the competition will be conducted through points awarded of appeal, originality and overall presentation and will take place on Wednesday, December 23.

Public voting will also be made available for the 'People's Choice Award', with each vote cast being entered into a draw to win one of two $200 Bunnings gift cards courtesy of Cowra Bunnings.

Registered properties will be marked on both physical and digital maps, made available to the public when the competition officially launches on Tuesday, December 1. Registrations close Sunday, December 20.
