Pam found herself playing a single game against Jan Trengove and Heather Edwards.
Despite Pam's best endeavours she could not hold her lead and Jan and Heather, with some excellent tactics between them, took the lead and held it to peg out 26-17.
They said it was a fairly even game with no one really standing out.
On the other court, Netta Noack and Gwen Bush teamed up against Jenny Walker and Elaine Hall.
Netta and Gwen got away to a good start with an immediate score through hoop one, and were onto scoring hoop four before the other pair started.
By the time hoop seven was reached, the lead changed with Jenny and Elaine leading the way.
But not for long, as Netta scored a break of three hoops and scooted to the lead again with her partner.
Not to be outdone, Jenny and Elaine put all their skills into their play, took the lead and pegged out 26-23.
Monday, November 19
Elaine Hall and Heather Edwards described themselves as two old crocks with bad backs playing singles in a game which lasted for an hour, with Heather pegging out 26-8.
For a game that lasted that long, they must have forgotten their bad backs and being old crocks for the duration.
Pam Boler played another singles game, this time against Jenny Walker and Netta Noack.
There were quite a few missed roquets near the start of the game by all players, but they eventually found their strides.
Jenny and Netta outdid Pam and won easily 26-12.
Wednesday, November 21
Both courts in action again today with one game of four players on each.
On court one, Jan Trengove and Elaine Hall challenged Chris Palazzi and Gwen Bush.
The game seemed to take a long time to shape up, but that could have been the slow scoring throughout.
Both teams played average games although Elaine played some notable shots, with good thought and execution, helping her partner and herself to win the game with 23 hoops to 18.
On court two, Ana Kusetic and Pam Boler teamed up to play Helen Bryant and Heather Edwards.
Their game was a challenge to them all and the lead changed several times as it progressed.
Eventually Helen and Heather took the lead and pegged out to Pam and Ana's 16.
