Many members who live alone have missed the company and are glad to back with their friends.
Our Public Officer Norma Power has been appointed COVID Compliance Officer for the group.
Spinning members are having fun with the projects they are undertaking, from spinning beautiful fleece, dyeing wool for knitting colourful socks, knitting, crocheting and finishing of UFOs (Unfinished Objects), as well as crocheting their resulting yarns into other items.
Preparing a fleece for spinning can take some time and patience.
The Patchworkers are enjoying being back, and finding it good therapy.
Some have made masks for family and friends and are also working on gifts for the Group's Christmas charity gift box.
Monday artists have a mini exhibition in the Cowra Visitors Centre for all of next month, and also a spring exhibition in the Canowindra Art Gallery that will be there for a few weeks.
It opens on weekends.
They are an energetic group covering a lot of brush miles with great results.
The Craft group reports that there is much laughter going on, and ladies are returning which may necessitate splitting into two groups - a morning and afternoon session to conform with number restrictions.
One of the members is making teddy bears on her knitting machine, and they are planning a Teddy Bear workshop on one Saturday in November.
The group is planning a Morning Tea with all members welcome on Wednesday, October 21 at the Hideout Cafe at 10am.
This will be the first such outing for some months, and details will be available in the Art room.
Because of the restrictions, our monthly meeting will again be held in the Services Club on Tuesday, October 20 at 1pm.
