The HD HR Holden Car Club will host Nationals in Cowra next year with a big weekend of activities lined up for enthusiasts.
President of the NSW branch, Robert Matthews, said the club tries to select regional towns to host Nationals and Cowra provided the perfect central location.
"The more people we bring to the town, the merrier and businesses thrive on us coming to town," he said.
"The Cowra community and Cowra Council got behind us wanting to coming here so it was a natural progression to choose this."
Mr Matthews said they are expecting a huge turnout next year after the 2020 event, which will be held in Queensland, was postponed until October.
"It's going to be a Queensland only sort of show this year and everyone else interstate is going to miss out. This should be bigger and better," he said.
Depending on COVID restrictions, the weekend will consist of a meet and greet on the Friday before the Show and Shine at Bryant Park and presentation night on the Saturday.
Fellow member David Bates said there are also plans to visit nearby villages on the Sunday.
"We go on a bit of a cruise on the Sunday... we're working on a couple of ideas at the moment," he said.
"We've been approached by the Railway Museum, hopefully they are going to have the track open... so we're going to do a Holdens to Holmwood. That's in the pipeline."
Mr Matthews said they have been planning this event for two years and hopes the community will come out and show their support.
"Full details need to be finalised as it gets a bit closer and obviously if COVID is still floating around at the time, we will have to make adjustments to our presentation," Mr Matthews said.
"We're looking forward to it... it will be an overdue Nationals.
"If the community and businesses get behind it, it should be a good event."
