Cowra's Abundant Life Church has launched a community care response to what they see is a real need in our district.

"In these uncertain times it is difficult to remain positive," Maureen Knight from the Abundant Life Church said.

The church has collected and distributed hampers for those in need.

The initiative of distributing hampers, Ms Knight said, aims to lift spirits across the community.

The church has partnered with Convoy of Hope, who have advanced supplementary funding for the program.

Church members donate non-perishable goods and the funds cover fresh food.

Therefore, every participating household receives two hampers. To date, hampers have been offered to schools, new arrivals in town and the Cowra Information and Neighbourhood Centre. Anyone requiring more details, please contact Maureen Knight on 0427 776 716.
