Two new rooms for residential respite will be constructed, while the front and back entrances and offices will receive facelifts.
CEO Scott Kable said the work will benefit both residents and the community.
"Cowra Retirement Village is investing over $650,000 on renovations and additions to increase services and improve the amenity for our residents and their families," he said.
"The construction of two additional rooms to be used for residential respite will double our capacity to provide respite for carers of older people."
The renovation and expansion of the rear entrance will allow for deliveries and ambulance pick up and delivery in a secure and private way, while a new, welcoming main entrance will feature an airlock to help keep the building warm in winter and cool in summer.
The construction will be undertaken by River Park Constructions and management as worked closely with Terry Mansley and his team to ensure minimal disruption to residents, staff and visitors during this period.
It is expected that works will be completed by Christmas this year.
