It's not everyday you receive correspondence from Queen Elizabeth II or Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

But then again, it's not everyday you turn 106.

Cowra resident Elvina Elliot-Horsfall celebrated her birthday on August 21, surrounded by a few friends, cakes and cards from across the country.

While Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke and Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack dropped by to personally see Elvina, she has since received cards from the Queen, Mr Morrison and Governor General, David Hurley AC.

Elvina said she would like to thank everyone who sent her a card and well wishes for her 106th birthday.
