The Cowra veterans dodged the poor weather experienced over the weekend when they played a 9 Hole stableford competition on the Thursday, August 6 2020, in ideal Golf conditions.

From the 40 entrants the event was closely contested with four players, Don ROCAVERT, Tim WOOD, Lester BLACK and Ray KELLY, returning a score of 16 Stableford Points and only separated in the order of merit on a countback, with players finishing strongly deemed to be better.
Congratulations also go to Don ROCAVERT who went on to win the 18 hole Cowra Professional Competition and to Tim WOOD who was the winner of the Veterans last week and took a three stroke handicap reduction and was still in the winner's circle.

There were 32 starters last Thursday in the Cowra Golf Club's Golf Club Professional, Tom PERFECT's, 18 Hole Stableford competition.
This competition is open to all ages and run concurrently with the Veterans event, with all players on their official GOLFLINK handicaps.
There were 32 starters in last week in the 18 Hole event.
