In a morning with some fog and cloud cover, a field of 44 Cowra Golf Club veteran golfers played a 9 Hole Stableford competition from the first tee on Thursday, July 30. There was plenty evidence of the recent heavy rain leaving many of the bunkers on the course with puddles of water remaining.

Congratulations to Tim Wood for producing the best stableford score on 20 just one point ahead of James Paton, who went on to win the Club Professional, 18 hole competition with 39 Points.

The Veterans are reminded that on August 20, Cowra is scheduled to host the Lachlan Valley Veteran district competition. Cowra Veterans are requested to check with our Veteran Treasurer to make sure that they have paid their $10 annual Veterans affiliation fee, so that we can have their representation for the District Event.
In keeping with COVID 19 precautions, golf events must avoid grouping of participants, the usual Shot Gun Start, is not be allowed, and the District event will be from sequential hit off times, from a booking sheet.
18 HOLE STABLEFORD
The Cowra Golf Club's Golf Professional, Tom Perfect's, 18 Hole Stableford Competition, open to all ages and run concurrently with the Veterans event, with all players on their official GOLFLINK handicaps. There were 38 Starters in the 18 Hole event.
The 4 top Prize winners were: 1, James Paton 39 (Points). 2, Ken Harcombe 37. 3, Bob Vidulich 37. 4, David Spolding 36.
