It will be held as originally planned in the Cowra Services Club with the existing list of attendees still accepted, but members should still add their name and details as required to the existing list if they have not already done so, and they wish to attend the meeting.
The Committee Meeting has decided that to avoid confusion until the COVID-19 requirements are resolved, the group's Monthly Meetings will now be held in the Services Club until further notice with the same conditions applying.
A list for those wishing to attend the next Monthly Meeting on Tuesday, August 25, will be available in the rooms.
Some craft members are still wary of the risk of exposure to the virus, but those that have returned are enjoying each other's company and sharing their talents, while also safe distancing.
Members have been asked to make little blue raindrops even though the Cowra Show has been cancelled. The raindrops will eventually end up at next year's Sydney Royal Easter show.
Patterns and size details are available in the art room.
A few spinners have been away over the last month, though those that have attended are enjoying their spinning, crochet or knitting projects with social distancing yarning and laughter taking place on Thursdays.
Unfortunately, due to the Cowra Show being cancelled through COVID, the Spinners will not have the opportunity to demonstrate their craft this year, an exercise they found an enjoyable experience in 2019.
They are also waiting to see if they will be able to take part in the Spin in Public Day later in the year and will keep spinners informed as the event comes closer.
The Monday artists are still meeting and enjoying each other's company and enthusiasm, and the Wednesday artists meet when they can.
The Patchworking group is full of enthusiasm and have had another Saturday workshop to learn the intricacies of Paper-pleating with Angela and Maxine, an experience some found both enjoyable and sometimes exasperating but very rewarding with beautiful results.
Members who have not yet paid their $20 annual fee for 20/21 will find the necessary paperwork in the art room. Remember, you must be financial to vote at the AGM.
