The clear blue sky in the morning heralded a great day on the Cowra Golf Course on Thursday, July 23 when 46 Veteran Golfers played in the Veterans 9 hole stableford event commencing on the 10th tee.

It is pleasing to welcome Elwyn Ward's return to Cowra residency and as a member of the Cowra Veterans with him winning his first start in this event with 20 stableford points, just one point ahead of both Gary Dick and Robert Vidulich.
There were 16 prize winners on the day who are listed with their Stableford Points score, and the handicap they played off last week in brackets

The prize winners will have their 18 hole Veterans Handicap reduced by 3 the next time they play.
The other players will have their handicap increased by one shot.
CLUB PROFESSIONAL; 18 HOLE STABLEFORD COMPETITION
The Cowra Golf Club's Golf Professional, Tom Perfect's, 18 Hole Stableford Competition, open to all ages and run concurrently with the Veterans event, with all players on their official GOLFLINK handicaps. There were 38 Starters in the 18 Hole event.
It is interesting to see John Murphy playing off his greatly reduced handicap for Veterans event score 17 points, go on to play in the Pro Comp 18 Hole event and be the clear winner with 40 points playing off his official GOLFLINK handicap.
