Though he's only been a Lions Club member since 2014 Mr Freudenstein was elected as the Lions District Governor for the District of 201N4.
Cowra is part of Lions District 201N4.
"I was elected to be second vice-governor, then first vice-governor and then at last year's District convention at Wagga I was elected to be the governor," Mr Freudenstein said.
Australia is cut up into 19 districts, with five in NSW according to Mr Freudenstein with our district 201N4 one of the larger ones.
"It's a pretty big district, it runs from Bourke way down to Tumbarumba and Coleambilly out to Hillston and Nyngan then up to the Blue Mountains," he said.

- District Governor Stuart Freudenstein
Though he has only been a Lion for half a decade Mr Fruedenstein said he knew he would always end up as a member.
"As you know I was mayor previously," Mr Freudenstein said. "About a month after that I joined.
"I had been planning to for years, it's just that I thought I'd wait until I was out of Local Government."
According to Mr Freudenstein he'd always appreciated the work of Lions and had been to a lot of their functions and said he knew that this is where he knew he'd always end up.
"My wife Lyn agreed, so we joined in late 2014, five and a half years ago and I was club president here a couple of years later and got into the district stuff," he said.
Mr Freudenstein is encouraging locals to get involved and to consider becoming members of the Lions Club to help not only their local community but to help the whole district as well.
"Service is a big thing," Mr Freudenstein said.
Clubs across the district have raised funds and held events with funds raised going directly to Diabetes Australia.
