Their efforts culminated in the recent presentation of $1,000 in donations shared between two local RFS brigades.
Jacinta Hines, Secretary of the Walli/Islands RFS was on hand to accept the cheque for her brigade.
"The donation from Cowra Youth Council is wonderful. We really appreciate their effort and we'll make sure we put it to good use," Jacinta said.

Godfrey's Creek RFS Captain, Shaun Whittaker, was also happy to receive a boost on behalf of his brigade.
As Shaun explained, the work of the RFS volunteers isn't restricted to bushfire season.
"Our brigade volunteers help to protect the southern boundary of the Cowra Shire," he said.
Due to our location midway between Cowra and Boorowa, we also get called out to motor vehicle accidents to make initial assessments for the Police and Ambulance services."
The donations will help to improve support facilities at the Rural Fire Stations.
Deputy Youth Council Chair, Kate Price, was keen to acknowledge the community support for their fundraising.
'We're thankful for the community support we received to help us raise the money for the RFS. It's a strong indication of how widely the volunteer bushfire fighters are respected," Kate said.
