For the second consecutive week Cowra rising star of golf Pat Edenborough showed his class by taking out the Ray White Sponsored Cowra Golf Club Individual Stableford.

At the end of play Edenborough had a four point margin in the A grade competition (for players with handicaps between 0 and 12) from Matt Steward.
Edenborough finished his round with nett 40 from Steward wit a nett 36.
Matt De Graaf rounded out the top three in A grade with a nett 35.
One hundred and seven players teed off.
In B grade Ticky Lee and Wayne Rodwell both finished their rounds with nett 39, Lee taking first place on a countback.
John Jensen was just one point back in third place with a nett 39.
C grade also produced a close result with a nett 40 from Bruce Stammers enough to take first from Pat Fitzsimmons with nett 39 and Lucy Cumming with nett 37.
Brad Townsend produced the best nearest the pin of the day, finishing 61cm from the pin on the Subway sponsored 14th hole.
Warwick Spence was 410cm from the pin on the fifth, Geoff Day 142cm from the pin on the 7th and Mick Curtale 196cm from the 16th hole.
Tyler Mendam was 245cm from the Leigh Browne Building sponsored par four third and Jim Brown 550cm from the hole on the Leigh Browne sponsored par four 10th.
Saturday's ball sweep went down to 32 points on a countback.
This weekend the men have the July Monthly Medal Stroke - Sponsored by Conron Stockcrete.

Countback required to decide ladies golf winner
Helen Butler took out Wednesday's Unearthed Homewares sponsored Individual Par - 1st Round Mrs Ben Jones Trophy.
Nineteen ladies teed off with Helen Butler and Lorraine Stubbing finishing square and Anette Sutherland -2.
Butler was the first round winner on a countback.
Nearest the pin on the Fagan 5th was Deb Gumley, the Jenaul Enterprises 7th was Lorraine Stubbing and Cheyrl McKeown on the Jenny Armstrong 14th.
Ball competition went to Helen Butler, Lorraine Stubbing, Annette Sutherland, Corrie Bryant, Anne Coates and Jenny Dresser.

The club has introduced a Twilight Special for $10. This special is available Monday to Friday after 3pm. For all golfing enquiries please call the pro shop on 6342 1211.

The golf course remains open and is available for regular social and competition play, with new regulations in place.
The new regulations mean that all players must sign in in the pro shop prior to commencing play.
Numbers in the pro shop are limited to five plus pro shop staff.
This is to comply with government requirements.
Under new local rules flagstips can be removed, as long as this is done using a gloved hand.
