The weather forecast for Thursday the 25th of June 2020 predicted a foggy morning followed by cold conditions and rain drizzle was enough to reduce player bookings to play Golf and further cancellations reduced the Veteran starter numbers to 27, when the forecast weather arrived.

The intrepid early players took to the Golf Course on the 1st Tee for a 9 Hole Stableford Competition wearing their wet weather jackets and with umbrellas in use, to face challenging conditions.

Congratulations go to the clear winner for the day, John MURPHY, who overcame the playing conditions and who was seen to play many exceptional long and accurate tee shots, in his path to victory. No other entrants were able to play to their allocated handicaps.

There were 9 prize winners, who are listed with their Stableford Points score, and the handicap they played off in brackets

18 John MURPHY (13).

16 Ken HARCOMBE (2).

16 Robert OLIVER (24).

16 John CAMPBELL (19).

15 Neil HAYES (21).

15 Ray SALISBURY (10).

The prize winners will have their 18 Hole Veterans Handicap reduced by 3, the other players will have their handicap increased by 1.
