Cowra Netball Association (CNA) has received a grant worth $4,330 as a travel subsidy to help players attend the Junior State Titles in Sydney, Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke has announced.

Ms Cooke presented committee members and representative players a cheque on Tuesday afternoon.
Ms Cooke said while other subsidies, such as the Active Kids voucher, have assisted families with sports-related costs, issues such as the drought and COVID-19 pandemic have taken their toll financially.
"It's all about accessibility to sport and every parent knows that the cost of participating in kids sport increases every year and if you've got more than one child those costs can really mount," she said.
"Whilst the government has done a lot in recent years, particularly with the Active Kids vouchers, there are costs that come along that go above and beyond that.
"We're coming off the back of significant drought conditions over a number of years... we've most recently seen the COVID pandemic, not only has it had a direct impact on sport itself and participation but its had an impact on a lot of parents and people in jobs and I think it's quite timely this grant has come along."
CNA President, Amy O'Reilly said the money will get the players to Sydney should the junior titles still go ahead in October.

"It couldn't have come in a better season really to help our parents," she said.
"[It's] alleviating a lot from our families but also the local businesses that always contribute and help offset our costs.
"COVID has really taken a hit on a lot of families. We're very grateful, very appreciative, all the families are."
