After some good rain the preceding night and a forecast for more rain for Thursday, May 21 the club still hosted 34 Cowra Veteran golfers for the week's 9 hole Stableford competition commencing on the 10th tee.
Remarkably, almost without exception, even the golfers who went on to play in the 18 Hole event, were able to complete their golf for the day before the rain arrived.
The players found the conditions challenging, albeit on a well presented course.
Only the winner for the day, Col Neilsen with 20 points broke his handicap.
Credit should also be given to Terry Winwood-Smith for his 18 points.
Terry also went on to win the 18 Hole event.
It is noted that three ladies are amongst the Veteran prize winners this week.
The 12 prize winners are listed with Stableford Points score, and the handicap they played off in brackets
