"I'm very pleased with the results we've had across the Cootamundra electorate in terms of there being no new COVID cases since the 17th, 18th, 19th of April for both the Western Health District and for the Murrumbidgee Health District," Ms Cooke said.
As of 8am on Wednesday morning Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) reported there were still no further cases of COVID-19 in the local area.
"We've had almost 100 people tested through the mobile testing clinics in Harden, Coolamon and Narrandera over the past 10 days or so and that's very pleasing."
On Monday in Harden and Boorowa the MLHD Mobile Testing Clinic tested a number of locals.
"I can only reiterate what has already been said it's very, very important people come forward for testing," Ms Cooke said.
"This is one of the main things that is designed to keep us all safe."
Ms Cooke also reiterated to locals that though restrictions have eased they should continue to social distance.
"It's important that we continue to adhere to social distancing measures, particularly as we are starting to see the easing of some restrictions," Ms Cooke said.
Ms Cooke continued to thank nurses, doctors, health service staff as well as those who work in the emergency services.
"It is very pleasing news that we don't have any more cases at the moment in either the Western or the Murrumbidgee Local Health Districts and I'd like to thank the staff from both health districts for their ongoing work to keep us all safe in the community," Ms Cooke said.
"I'd also like to thank our emergency services who continue to do their very important work in keeping our community safe."
