It was interesting to reflect on the success of the veteran golfers in the Cowra Golf Club championship which was played over four 18 hole rounds completed on March 29.
It is true, "That age did not weary them...."
Veterans who starred were:
A GRADE: Peter KIRWIN - CLUB CHAMPION. Peter finished with a four round total of 285, just one over par.
B GRADE: Dave THOMAS - RUNNER-UP. Dave made a late charge to be defeated in a playoff with a four round score of 343.
C GRADE: Warwick SPENCE - CHAMPION. Warwick lead throughout and held on for a one stroke win with a four round score of 370.
Congratulations to these Veterans who performed so well against a strong field of competitors.
