Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic brought their Sunday afternoon gatherings to an end - that's until it was moved onto social media.
In a move that was music to the ears of the performers, the hotel decided to host their open mic online.
"Last Sunday of the month is country, the first is poet, folk and jazz and the second Sunday is rock and blues," Sarah Windus from the Gooloogong Hotel said.
"We've got so many music people out there and they can do anything, read a poem. We're not necessarily keeping with the theme.
"Any level of talent can hop on there."
Now in its fifth week, the online sessions have been growing and Sarah says it's given performers something to work on and look forward to each week.
"With the drought and everything else that's been happening, you can rely on the music, there's so many people around that are into it," she said.
"Obviously it's not the same [as before], but it's helping people.
"Just to keep ourselves busy and give us something to do."
To check out the open mic session, simply head to the Gooloogong Hotel's Facebook page each Sunday where a link to the Watch Party will be posted or join the Gooloogong Hotel Open Mic Online group.
