For the past 14 years Manilla's Cheryl and Bill Randall have hit the open road to raise funds for special needs kids and this year will be no different.
They will set off on the Variety 4WD Adventure charity drive and plan to raise $100,000.
"There is only 30 cars participating, so we luckily fit under the 100-person threshold," Mrs Randall said.
"We won't be able to go into the small schools this year, which is going to be a bit sad, but it is what it is.
"I don't know how I will cope with the social distancing, because I am the queen of hugs, I love giving hugs.
Celebrating a 70th wedding anniversary is a rare event. On March 1, Hans and Ingrid Brickl did just that at Fleurieu Function Centre with family and friends.
The day was full of laughter, memories and congratulations to the couple, who pledged their love and loyalty in their home town, Hamburg, on February 25, 1950.
Gardens have been the special interest that Les and Hazel Reeves have share for 75 years.
Last year they said goodbye to their precious vegetable and flower gardens at their family home where they raised their six children for nearly seven decades.
At 96, the couple has finally retired and moved not far away to Whiddon Wingham Aged Care facility, where Hazel is delighted that she doesn't even have to make her own cup of tea.
Artist Jimmi Buscombe is reminding shoppers to be kind while they hunt down their toilet paper supply.
Buscombe created the trompe l'oeil (trick of the eye) mural with chalk and pencils.
The cheeky quoll is holding a roll of toilet paper with the word 'kindness' written and the slogan 'be like Colin' just below.
Food Squad owner Sam Nawaz said he made the decision to offer the service after seeing so many elderly people lining up at the supermarket struggling to purchase essential food.
"I left my family in Pakistan in 2009. I would hate to think they were lining up for food and couldn't get it," he said.
