Les was born in Grenfell and lived and worked on a farm, he moved to Greenethorpe and continued farming; after selling the farm he moved to Canowindra.
Les belongs to Rotary and has travelled to Japan and the USA.
He has five daughters, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Thank you very much Les, for sharing your story with us.
Our Guest speaker was Norm Palazzi who gave a very informative talk on his trip to Western Australia to look at the wild flowers from the Kimberleys to Perth.
Norm showed us many photos of the different plants and explained that each plant adapted to the local conditions to survive.
Also the local fauna had adapted not to eat the plants as some were very poisonous.
Thank you Norm for sharing with us your knowledge on this subject, it was appreciated by all.
A tour to Nambucca Heads has been organised.
It will leave Cowra on Sunday, July 26 and get back on Saturday, August 1, the theme is Christmas in July. Cost is $1150 per person. Names are to be given to Allan Vorias if you are intending to go.

A successful social barbecue and bowls day was held on Sunday, February 23, everyone that attended had an enjoyable day.
We welcome Paul Deland who joined our club in December. Paul we wish you a most rewarding, enjoyable time being an active member of Probus.
Mens Probus meet on the first Tuesday of each month and our next meeting is on Tuesday, March 3 at the Cowra Services Club at 10am.
You are welcome to come along and listen to an interesting guest speaker while meeting people and having an enjoyable outing. Any retirees are most welcome to attend.
