Twenty-two young women will head to Dubbo on February 22, to take part in the Zone 6 finals of The Land Royal Sydney Showgirl Competition.

The zone dinner will be held at the Dubbo RSL Club Resort Auditorium with the Dubbo Show Society welcoming showgirls from across the Central West, their friends and family at an evening presentation where the Zone 6 Showgirl representatives for the 2020 Royal Sydney Showgirl Competition will be announced and sashed.
Saturday's judging which will commence at the Dubbo Taronga Zoo at 8.30am.
Over the course of the day three judges will select three finalists.
Prior to the presentation dinner the showgirls meet with the judging panel and attend a luncheon at the Dubbo Taronga Zoo.
Representing Cowra will be Beatrice Patterson
The 24-year-old took out the 2019 Cowra Showgirl title and works as a solicitor for Campbell Paton and Taylor, Orange.
She volunteers annually as the ring secretary of the Cowra Poll Dorset Championships and Cowra Lamb Show.
Previously she has waitressed at many Cowra Showgirl cocktail parties and completed volunteer work with Red Shield Appeal, Legacy and Royal Flying Doctor.
Representing Bedgerabong will be Heather Earney
Heather Earney was sashed Bedgerabong's Showgirl in 2017 and is daughter of show president Andrew and secretary Anne Earney.
The Earneys moved to Bedgerabong when Heather was about 10 years old, and her family has been long involved in the annual community event. She moved back to the farm at Bedgerabong, continuing her honours project for her Rural Science degree with the University of New England.
Her project with the NSW Department of Primary Industries looked at how pelvic size relates to lamb survival in Merino ewes.
With scholarships from the Royal Agricultural Society Foundation and Australian Wool Education, Heather has been able to travel to conferences, events and shows to broaden her knowledge and network.
Representing Canowindra will be Anna McNamara
Anna McNamara was sashed as Canowindra's Showgirl in 2019.
The 20-year-old is studying Veterinary Biology/Veterinary Science and says she entered the competition to further develop her skills and confidence.
Representing Eugowra will be Rebecca Shelton
Rebecca Shelton has been named Eugowra Showgirl at a bumper 106th Eugowra Show last year.
She is an Artificial Insemination Technician at Moxey Farms, who moved to the area in 2019. When sashed she said she was very keen to learn more of the local area and meet new people.
Representing Forbes will be Molly Fuge
A local farmer with a passion for broad acre cropping Molly Fuge was named 2019 Forbes Showgirl.
Molly, who works with Lawson Grains, said she took part in the Showgirl competition because she wanted to promote women in agriculture.
She hopes the Showgirl competition will help help her gain more confidence, be exposed to new experiences and create new friendships in the industry.
In addition to working in the cropping industry, Molly is involved in the Forbes Ranch Sorting and Penning Club, where she does the announcing for the events and the Saturday night presentations.
She is also an avid competitor in sorting and penning events and hopes to compete in the RSNC Ranch Sorting World finals in the US.
Representing Grenfell will be Shannon Best
Shannon has lived in the Weddin Shire her entire life and was sashed as the Grenfell Show's 2019 Showgirl.
She has been a member of the Grenfell Town and District Band since the age of 8 and in recent years has joined the Cowra District Band.
Representing Harden will be Katia Manton
Katia Manton is the current Hilltops Diesel Murrumburrah Harden Showgirl.
When sashed the 20-year-old was completing her third year at Charles Sturt University.
The proud Showgirl was studying a bachelor of education (K-12) majoring in Biology.
Representing Parkes will be Rebeckah Auld
Rebeckah Auld was sashed as the Parkes Showgirl last year at the 139th Parkes Show.
She was one of five entrants in the competition, which drew an ecstatic response from the Parkes Show society. It was noted at the time the judges had a difficult job deciding on the winners.
Representing Young will be Caitlin Bowman
Young's 2019 Showgirl Caitlin Bowman moved to Young about 16 months ago after graduating from New England University at Armidale with a double degree in agriculture and business.
She has picked up a job as a grain marketer for Delta Agribusiness and settled into life in the Cherry Capital.
Having grown up in Sydney, Caitlin will be hoping to return to the big smoke next year as a Zone 6 finalist to compete for the title of Sydney Royal Showgirl.

Caitlin said she entered the running on recommendations from friends who have participated.
The Dubbo Show Committee also welcomes the showgirls and their guests to a breakfast the morning after at Boardy's Bar at the Dubbo Showgrounds.
This is an opportunity to catch up with friends from across the region before heading home.
