In 2017, St Raphael's Catholic Church Parish Council decided to embark on a "new parish project".
This was to offer a free lunch served once a month in the Parish Hall, no strings attached.
This was to be called "Bread and Cup".
The lunch was open to all comers: those seeking a community welcoming space, others who were often alone for most of their day and other simply wishing to share lunch with other people.
This venture has been successfully operating for the last three years and in that time some 400 people have come together over each year of our operation, with as many as 50 people attending at any one time.
Again in 2020 we wish to offer this service to the people of Cowra and the surrounding district.
The place is St Raphael's Hall from 12.30pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month, beginning this month on February 26.
