Lachlan Riches-Farrell, an apprentice from Cowra Plaster Works, has been named as the third nominee for the Cowra Rotary Club's Pride of Workmanship Award.

Mr Riches-Farrell received the award at a Rotary Club meeting last Thursday night.
On hand to present his award were Cowra Business Chamber President, Jordan Core, Rotarian Ian Docker, Paul Jones from Cowra Plaster Works and Peter Chivers, Past District Governor of Rotary.
Mr Riches-Farrell was nominated by his employer, Cowra Plaster Works, for his "strong skills with professional standards."
"He is keen to learn all aspects of his trade and shows respect to his fellow tradesmen teaching him his trade," Kim Jones from Cowra Plaster Works said.
Mr Riches-Farrell was recently chosen to represent NSW at the AWCI (Australian Wall & Ceiling Industry Association) National Conference to compete in the National Apprentice Challenge.

"Only two apprentices are chosen for this National Challenge each year from each state," Mrs Jones said.
"Being only in his second year this is a massive achievement for him and also for us and our staff."
He also placed Runner-Up in this National Challenge recently held in Uluru.
