Alysia Myree Keefe, 39, of Gaskill Street was charged with the offence on October 19 at Cowra.
"She has a limited history but has a low range PCA, drive whilst suspended and a number of other traffic matters," magistrate Michael O'Brien said.
"Her traffic record certainly doesn't assist her," he added before imposing sentence.
Police said Keefe passed a random breath test during the stop but failed a drug test which returned a positive reading for meth.
When asked about taking the drug, Keefe told police "I take it for medical reasons".
"I'm not aware of any doctor prescribing that drug for a medical condition," Mr O'Brien said.
