Their event was played in dry conditions as was experienced in recent weeks, before the storm arrived.
The forecast weather arrived as a savage storm, with heavy rain, thunder and lightening and some hail stones, just as the players finished their veterans nine holes, the other intrepid golfers who intended to play a further nine holes retreated to the Clubhouse.
The winner on the day was Ron NEWHAM with 22 Points, followed by David SPOLDING and Graham CLEMENTS just 2 points behind.
