It was a mixed weekend for Cowra's Lachlan Premier Cricket sides with Valleys taking a four wicket victory against Reedy Creek Raptors, while Bowling Club again fell foul of the fortress of Woodward Oval.

In the home ground game the Raptors won the toss and went about putting together a decent total of 135 for Valleys to chase, with a bulk of the work being done by Raptor's Max Keith (45 runs).
Ben Coultas and Blake Smith opened the Raptors account stringing together 13 runs before Smith was bowled on three.
Kurt Matthews then came in joining Coultas adding 16 runs to the Raptors total before Coultas was bowled on 19 by Jacob Moody.
Incoming batsman Adam Parker failed to make any addition to the total facing three balls before being caught for a duck. His replacement Jacob Hutchings didn't bring anything to the partnership also going for a duck with Raptors total sitting at 4 for 33.
Next to the crease was Keith who, after a slow start, quickly accumulated in partnerships with Matthews and Scott Knights. He was finally dismissed by from a catch off Sam McNaughts bowling.
Raptors tail then came in making some modest gains before the the side was done and dusted.
Sam McNaught and Kane Schofield where first up to make a dent in the Raptors total and put together 22 runs before Schofield was caught by Knights off an Aaron Halls delivery.
This brought in Jacob McNaught who put on a batting clinic top scoring with 56 runs through partnerships with Sam McNaught, Greg Garlick and Scotty Wilson bringing Valleys chase to 4 for 126 when he was bowled by Adam Parker.
Needing only 10 runs to snatch victory Wilson brought the total up the total to 134 with two fours before being caught out.
Ben Houghton was then brought in to finish the job alongside Darcy Callaghan but was bowled for a duck leaving Valleys at 6 for 134 bringing in Jackson Moodie with Callaghan on strike.

Callaghan then delivered the win snatching the final two runs needed for victory.
Meanwhile in Parkes, Bowling Club came tantalizingly close to victory in a match that went down to the final over.
Having won the toss Bowling Club's top order went about creating a total that could break the curse Woodward Oval is holding over Cowra sides.
The opening partnership between Mikey McNamara and Tom Thaux brought up 37 before Thaux was caught.
Ross Graham then came in, top scoring for Bowling club with 50, and creating a 77 run stint with McNamara before he was caught and Bowling Club was left 2 for 114.

A middle order collapse saw Mick Curtale caught for 1, Ben Colby stumped for 1, Lachlan Morrison stumped for 3 and Chris Day stumped for 2.
Bowling Club's tail then rounded out their innings with 15 to Scott Gray and 16 to Chris Howarth and a total of 164 for Cambridge Cats to chase.
The Bayliss boys opened and put together 21 runs before Harry Bayliss was bowled by Emerson Baratto just 22 minutes into their innings.
Just half an hour later Zac Bayliss was gone caught by Mikey McNamara off the bowling of Ben Colby, having only brought the Cat's total up to 69 with Mitch Cambourne who left shortly after with the total at 73, bringing in the steadying influence of Shane Jones.
Jones would continue on for the Cat's top scoring with a total of 46 and finishing off Bowling Club's hopes of victory taking the Cat's total to 168.
Along the way Jones saw partnerships with Dan Wilson (LBW on 4 ), Mitch Wright (caught by Colby on 38), Riach (caught by Curtale for a duck), Rusgas (stumped by McNamara on 2) and Duffy (not out for 2).
