Bowling Club will be returning to Parkes for what will be a hard fought match against Cambridge Cats, given the town's fortress like standing for home teams.
However Bowling Club's captain, Mick Curtale, says the side has put their loss last week behind them.
"The Colts are a good side and are on the top of the table for a reason. You win some and you lose some, we've moved on and are ready to go this Saturday," he said.
"Us and Valleys haven't had much success over in Parkes, all their sides know how to play over there and they do a job every week."
Curtale says the side is approaching the match with optimism.
"We've got a few ideas that we can try and use, they don't always go to plan, but we'll turn up do what we do," he said yesterday.
Runs haven't been the problem for Bowling Club, its taking the wickets necessary to win, especially against the Parkes sides.
"We might change up the bowling," Curtale said.
"We need to take a few more wickets we haven't bowled many sides out this year so that could be an option.
"If we can go to Parkes and do a job this week it gives us a bit of confidence and momentum going into the break for when we come back after Christmas," he said.
This weekend's matches are the final round of games until January 18, 2020.
Curtale said while the team wasn't sitting in the position on the points table they would like there had been positives to come from their performances from the first half of the season.
"We feel we've let a couple of games slip, if we had of got those wins we would have been in a much stronger position," he said.
And as for the future of the Cowra Club he said: "It's good to see the younger guys doing well".
"If they can put in some big performances this week or towards the end of the season we'll be good.
"We are hoping someone can take a bagful of wickets one of the weekends, bowl sides out and win a couple of games.

"The bowlers are trying their best, sometimes it hasn't been our day and other times we haven't bowled well but we'll look to use a few different plans and see if they come off," he said.
Meanwhile Cowra's other Premier League side, Valleys, will be hoping to take advantage of the home ground advantage when they take on Reedy Creek Raptors at Holman Oval.
The last round before Christmas turns out to be hugely important for both Valleys A Grade and B Grade sides.
A win in A Grade will bring the team within a very close striking range of the top 3.
A win for B Grade, who are equal first on points with Grenfell, will see them head to the Christmas break in the top spot.
Saturday's Valleys game will see Sam McNaught, Kane Schofield, Jacob McNaught (C), Greg Garlick, Scotty Wilson, Darcy Callaghan, Ben Houghton, Jackson Moodie, Jarrod Mason, Riley Marsh and Aldo Lovett pad up in Premier League vs Reedy Creek Raptors at 12.15pm at Holman Oval.
Selected in the Valleys B grade side are Sam Long, Tom Mac, Angus McFarland, Thomas Lamond (C), Bevan Foxall, Issac McFarland, Jake Miller, Anthony Day, Lewie McFarland, Zach Olbourne and Issac Steele.
They take on Morongla next door at Twigg Oval from 1.30pm.
