It is getting close to Christmas and for many of us this is a great time to catch up with family, celebrate the Birth of Jesus, share gifts, enjoy food and maybe even have a few days off.

Truth is we tend to run around so much that we need the break.
Yet, it is also true that for some people Christmas is hard.
There are those who have lost loved ones, and this will be the first Christmas without them.
Others have some bad memories surrounding their previous Christmas experiences - family feuds, drunken arguments and abuse. It can be very difficult.
For others it is just going to be a lonely time, family have moved away and are spread out.

The Cowra Baptist Church will once again be hosting the Cowra Community Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day.
Rev Austin Griffiths said Cowra Baptist celebrates the coming of Jesus, yet the church also wants to support and encourage those for whom Christmas is hard to "celebrate".
"It is for people who may not have family and friends around for Christmas and we will share Christmas them," Rev Griffiths said.
"The idea is that people do not need to be by themselves. We are offering a free Christmas lunch and more importantly friendship and care.
"Please feel free to participate, help or give to this great service. It is a ministry of Cowra Baptist, but it is open to everyone."
For further information contact Rev Austin Griffiths on 0429 421 294.
RSVP for the Cowra Christmas Community Lunch is December 21.
The lunch is held at Cowra Baptist Church at 2 Bourke Street, 12.30pm for a 1pm start.
