Two more Sportsperson of the Year nominations have been confirmed for the months of September and October, with two youngsters getting the nod for their outstanding efforts.

Local shooter Michelle Woods received the September nomination after claiming multiple shooting awards at the Australian national junior girls' shooting competition, winning in the Single Action and Pat Garrett Champion categories.
Meanwhile, Maurice Brown was recognised for the month of October after enjoying another successful year, including winning the under 16s 250cc NSW Speedway Solo championships.
He also enjoyed international competition at the 2019 Speedway World Championships (which took place in Denmark), featuring in both the under 16 85cc Youth Gold category, as well as the 250cc under 16s.
Other nominees for next year's award, which will be the 40th edition of the event, include Leroy Murray (Rugby League), Guy Hubbard (Hang Gliding) plus Bailey Callaghan and Mackenzie Crook (Soccer).
